An AI assistant for business on Telegram: what it does and where it stops

Updated September 24, 2026

Agent OS is an AI assistant for small businesses that lives in your own Telegram bot: it keeps your price list, policies and agreements in memory, drafts replies to customers, and on PRO and above can answer them directly. You set it up in plain words, not with a flow builder. From $29/mo, with a free 3-day trial and no automatic charge.

Build a business assistant

What can an AI assistant for business do on Telegram?

It works from what you give it: a price list, a policy, a stock spreadsheet, past messages. It doesn't invent prices or free slots that aren't in your files.

  • Answers routine questions from your prices and rules: "how much is it", "any slots tomorrow", "how do I cancel".
  • Reads documents: PDF up to 80 pages, DOCX, XLSX, CSV, TXT — up to 10 MB per file.
  • Understands voice notes: your admin dictates changes, the assistant transcribes them and files them as notes.
  • Reminds you: "the client expects an answer on Friday", "supplier invoice due on the 15th".
  • Works in a team group: replies when mentioned and keeps a separate group memory.
  • Drafts text: customer replies, posts, a side-by-side of two supplier quotes.

Project files live in a working folder on the server and persist between conversations.

Can the bot answer customers on its own?

Yes, but only in client mode, and only from the PRO plan up. On START and BASIC the assistant drafts the reply and you send it.

How client mode works:

  • It's off by default. You switch it on in the dashboard.
  • Customers message your bot directly. The assistant answers from the facts in your project folder.
  • It understands customers' text, photos, documents and voice notes.
  • In the first reply to a new person it discloses: "You are talking to an AI assistant, not a human."
  • Each customer gets a separate memory. Your own chats with the assistant never leak into it.
  • For every conversation you get a card, "Customer asked / I replied", with "Reply myself" and "Block" buttons.
  • If a customer asks for a "human" or a "real person", the bot goes quiet for them and hands the thread to you.

What are the limits of client mode?

Volume is the main one. By default the assistant sends up to 20 replies a day to outside customers, and that cap is shared across all customers of one bot. Once it's hit, the customer sees: "Today's reply limit is reached. The owner will follow up personally or tomorrow."

This is built for a small flow: a salon, a solo professional, a consultant, a small shop. It is not a call-centre replacement for hundreds of requests a day.

Other things to know before paying:

  • Telegram only. There is no website widget, WhatsApp or Instagram.
  • No ready CRM integrations. Google Calendar and Google Sheets exist in the code but only work once a connection is configured (OAuth).
  • The assistant's sandbox has no internet access, so it can't check stock on someone else's website.
  • Customer replies spend credits from the same monthly budget as your own tasks.

Which plan fits a business?

If the assistant works for you — prices, documents, reminders — START or BASIC is enough. If it has to answer customers itself, you need PRO or POWER.

The table scrolls sideways.

PlanPrice per monthAssistantsCredits per monthAnswers customers

BASIC$49/mo38,000no, drafts replies for you

Prices are base amounts for card or USDT payment. Checkout shows the final total and renewal terms before you confirm. Annual offers are in the pricing guide.

BUSINESS is not self-serve: it covers process mapping, custom assistants and ongoing support under a separate agreement. Teams of up to 20 people usually fit PRO or POWER.

How is this different from a chatbot builder?

A builder assembles a bot from buttons and flow branches. Agent OS assembles an assistant from your plain-language description and your files.

Where a builder honestly wins: broadcasts to a contact list, button funnels, in-bot payments, hundreds of conversations a day. If that's what you need, pick a builder.

The assistant wins where questions don't fit into buttons: "what if it's medium-length hair and I also want toning?". It reads the whole price list and remembers the customer and what you agreed.

How do you launch a business assistant?

  1. Describe the job in your own words, or pick a ready-made setup for your niche.
  2. Sign in with Telegram — Agent OS builds the bot and sends you the link.
  3. Send the assistant your price list, policies and common questions.
  4. Test it yourself: ask what customers usually ask.
  5. If you want auto-replies to customers, move to PRO and turn on client mode in the dashboard.

Your part takes a couple of minutes. The 3-day trial includes 150 credits to test the assistant on your own data.

Which ready-made setups exist for business?

The gallery has 14 setups. For business: beauty salon, auto service, café and delivery, shop, realtor, lawyer and accountant, construction and contractors, studio or agency, HR and recruiting, consultant, tutor.

A setup is a starting role, boundaries and skills. In the salon setup, for example, the assistant answers from your price list and open slots but never messages customers itself: it drafts, you send.

Frequently asked questions

Can an AI bot answer my customers on Telegram without me?

Yes, in client mode on the PRO, POWER and BUSINESS plans. It's off by default, and every conversation sends you a card with "Reply myself" and "Block" buttons.

How many customer replies a day does client mode allow?

By default up to 20 replies a day per assistant, shared across all customers. After that, customers are told the owner will follow up personally or tomorrow.

Will the bot make up prices?

The assistant answers from the facts in your project folder and won't confirm anything that isn't in your files. If there's no price list, it asks you for one.

Does the bot tell customers it isn't human?

Yes. In its first reply to each new person, it states that they are talking to an AI assistant, not a human.

Does it integrate with a CRM?

There are no ready CRM integrations. Google Calendar and Google Sheets are in the code but only switch on once a connection is configured (OAuth); custom integrations are part of BUSINESS.

How much does an AI assistant for business cost?

From $29/mo on START; customer auto-replies start with PRO at $95/mo. A done-for-you rollout on BUSINESS starts at $5,000 a month by agreement.
